The Story Behind “Giving Tuesday Military
Military life doesn’t usually break a marriage all at once.
It wears on it slowly.
Over years of deployments, training separations, late-night phone calls, and missed milestones, something quiet happens—drift.
We kept hearing the same words from military couples:
“We love each other, but we feel disconnected.”
“We’re doing life together, but we’re not really together.”“We’ve lost our ‘why.’”
Out of those conversations, the Virtual Military Marriage Scavenger Hunt was born.
This idea began as a simple way to help couples remember their “why”-both as individuals and as a couple—why they chose each other, why they’re still together, and why their marriage matters amidst military life.
As we built it, it became much more than a fun date-night activity
We realized we were designing a guided coaching experience that combines:

This is not counseling. This is structured coaching that meets couples right where they are and helps them grow spiritually, psychologically, and relationally.

Do we have to be married to participate?
We designed this for married couples, but engaged couples in the military community may apply.
What if we’re not in the same location?
We created a full Geo-Batching / Long-Distance Edition so you can complete everything virtually.
What if we’re separated but co-parenting?
We also built a Separated & Co-Parenting Edition focused on emotional maturity, boundaries, and unity for the kids.
Is this counseling?
No. This is a coaching-based experience that focuses on growth, skills, spiritual insight, and practical tools.
Does it cost anything?
The first 25 couples receive packages at no cost through our Giving Tuesday Military initiative. Donations help us expand.
