Transform Your Inner Voice

fullrangefoundatio

August is National Wellness Month!

What a great opportunity to reflect on where you are in your life. Here at our organization, we prioritize mental health by conducting a Whole Life Wellness Wheel Assessment quarterly, alongside reviewing our quarterly and monthly goals. The most valuable part of this process is understanding our inner voice—the tone, words, and actions we tell ourselves.

The critical voice is the story you rehearse over and over, dominating your entire being. It affects how you show up for yourself and others, how often you will get back up and try again, and ultimately, your sense of purpose.

I remember a time when "I am alone and not loved" was the dominant force and voice in my story. However, after years of identifying root hurts and genuinely examining why I struggled with connecting to women, I found myself asking, "What kind of friend am I?" I could either listen to the lies or grow by intentionally examining and reflecting on how I was treated and how it affected the way I treated others. Since then, I have developed very close, intimate relationships—one of the sections on the Whole Life Wellness Wheel Assessment.

Although I have found that some may be hesitant to connect on a deeper level, I know it's what I value. Therefore, I continue to show up, honoring that in myself and my core friends to this day.

Who you are and what you believe about yourself are crucial to your health. Your wellness matters; you matter. This month, let's check in on ourselves with honesty and show up as a group of people who put wellness back into our purpose. We want to see you being present and living wholeheartedly with intentionality in your purpose. Connection is a core principle we all need.

Take note of how you speak to yourself. Instead of saying, "I will never be able to...," replace it with, "I will live intentionally in my strengths, passions, and purpose by...," and add in those core values and qualities.

Let's pursue wellness together!
