Hi, I am Emma Martin, the co-founder and Transitional Life Coach at Full Range Foundation.
"Strength in Every Step" emerged from a personal story rooted in my family's military journey. During the fall season after our eighth deployment, we lost our sense of purpose both in our marriage and in life. The days were long and lonely, and the question, "How long will this season last?" dominated my mind.
In this wilderness, I turned my heart to Jesus, learning to submit to God's will even in darkness. This became a turning point in how I viewed my relationships with God, my spouse, and others. I realized the importance of genuine connection, having people to support us in our darkest moments, and a community to unite around us. It was also when I began preparing to run my first marathon.
I had no idea what it would take, but I knew I needed to move physically. I started with a 5K, then trained for six months, reaching 11 miles. After a short break, I completed the marathon. It sounds crazy, I know, but there was something inside me that I needed to work out. A friend who believed in me and held me accountable made all the difference.
As the seasons and years passed, we founded Full Range Foundation. We offer military service members—active, reservist, national guard, veterans, and their spouses—a space to experience renewed purpose through transitional life and mental coaching. This fundraiser is crucial for creating scholarships, allowing couples to grow and heal while facing challenges that most will never experience.
No, I am not asking you to sign up for a marathon—that would be crazy. However, I am asking you to join us in giving thanks to God. No matter the season, the challenge, the uncertainties, the thoughts of impossibilities, heartaches, and loss, we can give thanks in every step, assured that God is present in our lives, even when we feel He is not.
The "Strength in Every Step" fundraiser is dedicated to walking forward in gratitude, as it says in Scripture: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." —1 Thessalonians 5:18-22
We invite you to join us in community and partnership to build a place where our military individuals and married couples can receive free coaching services and follow up with a retreat.
